I am proud to be joining them on this next chapter of our musical journey. Everyone has been very welcoming, professional, and organized. We cannot wait to show the world what we have in store for the future of Rock music. Our debut LP “WON” is the first of many albums to come. I couldn’t be happier with how this album has come out. It feels great to finally hear what’s been playing in my head for more than 20 years at the level it properly deserves.” This album is about the early life experiences of founder Stephen Reid Nemeroff taking listeners through the early 2000s and finishing in 2020. We hope you are ready because this is just the beginning.
Left Of The Slash, is an alt-rock band based in Los Angeles, California. Founded by Stephen Reid Nemeroff in his hometown of New York City in 2005, Left Of The Slash was conceived as an outlet to channel all of the emotions that were bottled up over Stephen’s lifetime. At the age of 19 years old Left Of The Slash started playing shows throughout the New York Tri-State area and were quickly noticed for their raw energy, riffs, melodies, and style that was unique to other music that was in circulation at the time. In 2008 the band went on a decade-long hiatus and then was reformed when Stephen moved out to L.A in 2017. He was then able to secure the help of some of the most well-known producers in the alt-rock space to create this album, among them Wyn Davis (Sublime, No Doubt, Guns N’ Roses), Steve Ornest, Thomas Queyja (Modest Mouse, Johnny Marr, Angelo Moore). Left Of The Slash started recording their debut LP entitled “WON,” a week before the pandemic began in 2020 and therefore had to halt recording until the end of 2020. What set out to be a three-song EP became a full-length ten-song album. Stephen wrote all the lyrics and music for the album as well as being the co-producer while funding the entire project himself. You can hear a lot of Stephen’s early and current life experiences in the LP. Everything from pain, joy, and everything in between seeps through the speakers. The band's riffs and melodies are inspired by a range of sub-genres including, Psychedelic rock, blues, Indie-rock, Punk, and Grunge. Their style of music is influenced by Pink Floyd, Black Sabbath, Sonic Youth, Alice In Chains, Soundgarden, TOOL, The Smashing Pumpkins, The Pixies, The Yeah Yeah Yeahs, and many more. Their debut full-length album, WON, is scheduled to be released later this year. Leading up to this, they have released a handful of singles in 2021. Left Of The Slash has music licensed with networks and television shows including NASCAR, TLC, OWN, Animal Network, Velocity, "Total Divas", "Total Bellas" on E!, "The Real World", "The Challenge", "Pros vs. Joes." Left Of The Slash have also been establishing themselves as an up-and-coming live act in LA and have performed at The Mint, The Viper Room, and The Whisky A Go Go. They are working on recording they're follow-up album to "WON" in 2022. |
